Family Safe Media

For almost a decade Family Safe Media has been dedicated to providing the latest products and services that can help parents bring safe media into their homes.  With the increase in the use of profanity within media and entertainment it was only a matter of time before someone took a stance and Family Safe Media have certainly played their part.  A perfect example of this is the TV Guardian which is a unique and groundbreaking device that utilizes the closed captioning to detect and cancel out profanities often found in TV shows by muting them in real time.  The TV Guardian by Family Safe Media doesn’t profess to be an absolute solution to the elimination of profanity, but as far as other systems go the system employed by Family Safe Media certainly stands up as one of the better ones as their comparison chart illustrates.

The TV Guardian is just one of a family of products designed for the safety and enhancement of the families’ ability to enjoy entertainment and media and a lot of thought has gone into their products.  Take the TV, Video Game & Computer time management tools for example, TV Timer Bob is a simple to use, small device that sits next to a TV, video-game system or computer system designed to help the parent or child-minder monitor and manage the time children spend using in-home media.  Another unique product is the TV Time Machine which is a clever way to reward the child with the ability to watch television by using a token system.

Its pretty much the same throughout the range of products on offer that are designed to moderate the amount of time your child is able to view the television and each holds equal merit for the ingenuity used  in their use as controllers, but our favorite has to be the Power Cop largely because it isn’t restricted to just the television.  The Power Cop can be used to limit the time on any electrical item including the computer and has a full range of time levels from 15 minutes onwards, and of course you can turn it on or off without restriction should you want to.

There’s not much that Family Safe Media haven’t thought about when it comes to filtering unwanted material away from the vulnerable, everything from edited movies where you can use advanced parental control technology that consists of filters that prevent offensive material from appearing on your screen, or in the sound track, as you watch the movie, and with a large amount of settings of filtering to choose from you can cater for a variety of age groups. As with each of the systems that Family Safe Media offer they provide comprehensive information on each one explaining the benefits and differences over one another.

Family Safe Media even provide a unique prepaid mobile phone for the children which can contain a number of pre-configured set of contact numbers with the aim of allowing the parent and child alike to keep in touch safely, something that’s often not taken into account in this modern day.  Finally moving on to yet another amazing product that you’ll find on offer here is the MobiCam baby monitor, a clever yet unobtrusive device that allows the caring parent to not just listen to baby as they play but also allows for them to watch what their child is getting up to.  This color camera system is so simple and versatile that it can be placed just about anywhere from a wall mounted position to simply putting it on a shelf in the particular room its needed.

Quite simply, everything you could possibly think of when it comes to monitoring the child’s activities has been taken into account by Family Safe Media, and for all the right reasons.  There can never be enough importance played on the safety of the child and the growing need to monitor their activities as they grow up in an ever changing world that isn’t always for the best.  As a family safe concern ourselves we were impressed by the lengths that this company has gone to in its quest to provide state of the art monitoring systems that can only benefit the child as they grow up, and with equipment from baby to young teen at hand to help in parenting Family Safe Media should be applauded for their efforts.
